The session is always scheduled in advance and lasts for a fixed duration of time. Usually the session lasts for 50 minutes as this is a reasonable amount of time to accomplish something significant without become tired or distracted. During the session, you will be asked to speak about how you feel and why. If you have a specific issue to discuss, you will present it. The therapist will hear you and inquire about what you are saying while directing you to greater clarity and increased awareness of your thoughts and why you do what you and how this can affect those around you.
